It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I can prove that I’ve been writing! I’m proud and excited to share with you that my book, Intangibles: Big-League Stories and Strategies for Winning the Mental Game — in Baseball and in Life, is being published and will be released in August.
Here’s a link to the book page on my publisher’s web site:

When you follow the link, you can download sample chapters, read testimonials, and additional basic information on the book. It will be for sale via Kindle, eBooks, and as a traditional paperback you can actually hold in your hands at some point in August. I’ll be providing updates and links when it goes live.
The book is meant to be both a valuable resource to players and coaches hoping to improve performance and also to be good baseball stories any baseball fan would appreciate. I’ve gotten some good initial feedback that the lessons are easily transferrable to other sports and I’m hoping that there will be some corporate crossover as well.
The foreword was written by Vince Gennaro, author of Diamond Dollars: The Economics of Winning in Baseball. Vince is one of the game’s experts on baseball analytics and the current President of SABR (The Society for American Baseball Research.)
The book itself is a collection of stories of real professional players I’ve worked with over the years. In telling their stories, I explain how they learned to use their unique sets of intangibles and I provide tangible lessons for the reader to learn by example. Sections of the book include individual on-field performance lessons, off-field life management lessons, and team programs I developed over a number of years meant to improve and develop intangibles.
I will be providing updates on book sales, signings, and appearances on the Intangibles Facebook page, so please share this link on your timeline and check back this summer as we complete our review process and await the final production of the book. I’d love to hear your comments and feedback on the sample chapters and I look forward to discussing the entire book with you later this year.
